Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Victoria Lang, a sole trader trading as Lux Innovations (a registered business name), in the Northern Territory,Australia (ABN 35 124 439 083). "We" means Victoria Lang trading as Lux Innovations. "You" means the person or business using Lux Social Studio.

By making an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy.

Your rights under Australian law come first. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.

• You must be 18 or over, and use the app for your business or personal brand.
• Use an email address you control. Anyone with access to it can sign in, so keep it secure.
• The workspace owner is responsible for the people they invite and what they do in the workspace.
• Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.

• There's a Free plan and paid monthly plans. Each plan's price and monthly allowance are shown in the app before you pay.
• Prices are in Australian dollars. We aren't registered for GST, so no GST is added.
• Paid plans are charged by card through Stripe, at the start of each month, and renew every month until you cancel.
• 7-day free trial: a paid plan can start with a 7-day free trial. During the trial you get 2 Reel edits and 1 Story edit, 2 carousels or picture stories, 1 brand, and 15 AI calls a day (50 in total). AI images, credits and connected social accounts aren't part of the trial: "Start your plan today" unlocks them. We take your card when the trial starts. Cancel within the 7 days and you aren't charged. Otherwise your first month is charged on day 8.
• Cancel any time in Settings → Manage plan & payment. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for, then moves to Free. No more payments are taken.
• If a payment fails, edits pause until your card is updated. Your work stays where it is.
• Top-up credits pay for edits past your allowance. They don't expire while your account is open. If an edit fails, the credits held for it go back to you.
• If we change a price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Your plan includes set amounts each month (for example Reels, Stories and carousels) and a daily number of AI calls. Planning and writing are included for normal use by one business.

To keep the app fast and affordable for everyone, please don't:

• run the app with scripts or bots, or make large numbers of requests to get around the limits;
• resell the app, or use one account for many unrelated businesses (the Business plan is for several brands);
• try to get the AI to make content that breaks section 6.

If use is far beyond normal, we'll contact you first, and may slow or limit it.

AI can make mistakes. Read what it writes and watch what it edits before you post. You decide what goes out under your name.

You own your content: your ideas, words, videos, photos, brand and finished posts, including what the AI writes or edits for you. We don't claim ownership of any of it.

To run the app, you let us store, copy, change and send your content, only to plan, write, edit and post it for you. That includes sending it to the services listed in our Privacy policy. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for posts already published on social platforms.

AI writing can look like other people's, so we can't promise it's unique. Check it before you rely on it.

Don't use Lux Social Studio to make, store or post anything that:

• is illegal, or helps someone break the law;
• uses someone else's work (music, video, images, words or brand) without permission;
• is false or misleading, such as made-up results, fake reviews or deadlines that aren't real;
• harasses, threatens, or spreads hate about anyone;
• is sexual and involves anyone under 18, or shows anyone in a way they haven't agreed to;
• shares someone's private information, or shows children where it isn't safe or you don't have the right to;
• breaks the rules of the platform you post to.

Also don't try to get into other people's workspaces, break or overload the app, or copy the app itself. If you break these rules, we may remove the content, pause your account or close it. Where it's fair to, we'll warn you first.

• You connect your social accounts through our posting partner. Each platform's own rules apply to what you post there.
• We don't control the platforms. We can't stop them changing their rules, limiting your reach or closing an account.
• We help you plan and make better content, but we can't promise followers, views or sales.

The app isn't a backup service. Finished posts are deleted from the cloud 7 days after they go out, and the app reminds you to download them. Keep your own copy of everything that matters to you.

• The app is new, and we're still improving it. Features may change, and some may be slow or unavailable at times.
• We'll do our best to tell you before a change that takes away something you rely on.
• If we ever close the app, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can download your data.

Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For example, they must be provided with due care and skill, and be fit for the purpose we say they're for. If we fail, you may be entitled to have the problem fixed, or to a refund or compensation (see the Refund policy).

As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost opportunities, or for things outside our control, such as a social platform's decisions. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

• You can stop using the app, cancel your plan, or delete your account at any time in Settings.
• Deleting your account deletes your data straight away and can't be undone. Download your data first.
• We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where it's fair to, we'll warn you first.

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel and stop using the app.

These terms are governed by the law of the Northern Territory, Australia.
